Since crystals are so reliable and powerful, they are used in computer chips, watches, and laser technology. There is no doubt that crystals have the ability to withhold massive amounts of information. Now with modern advances in quantum physics and metaphysics, stones and specifically crystals, are theorized to have the ability to also retain energy. As a result of this new information and the Universal Laws of Attraction, combined with an undeniable passion for designing, STUDIO 111 was born. The pyramid that is created between the crystal/stone, the wearer, and the energy that is being attracted by the stone, is the foundation for energetic transformation. As a result, an opportunity for transforming or cleansing someone's energetic field through the use of a crystal/stone is created. The designer and creator, Maye Malai, infuses every jewel with a specific energy. All stones have the ability to carry a variety of different energies. The most important factor in activating the stone lies in the "conscious awareness" from the person wearing the jewelry. This is a key component in activating the stone and allowing it to attract the energy it vibrates. This can be achieved simply by the wearer making a conscious effort to remember the purpose of the stone's energy and what it is supposed to do for that individual. Our designs are simple and chic with a twist of edgy modern bohemian. Our hand-made designs are centered around the simplicity and natural vibrance of our earth's crystals and stones. Every stone is genuine and has been acquired through many different sources. The designer has been blessed to travel to many wonderful places to find amazing precious and semi-precious stones that are now a part of many STUDIO 111 designs. We only use precious metals in our designs; sterling silver and 14kt gold-filled pieces. The quality of the our jewelry is very important to us, therefore we do not use gold-plated metals. We believe every piece is special, therefore we source the best materials for our designs. We also believe in a happy, balanced world and will continually strive to use green business practices and products that will reduce our ecological footprint. Where it All Began
The hand-crafting journey began over 10 years ago when the designer's husband asked her to repair a broken necklace. Up for the challenge she headed for the nearest bead store. As soon as she entered the bead shop, she immediately fell in love with the vibrance of the stones and their breath-taking energy. This new love eventually ignited her passion for creating beautiful jewelry for her husband and herself. At this time, she also started doing research on the sourcing of stones and their energetic qualities. Eventually, making pieces for friends and family led to custom designs, which then led to selling at private parties, art shows, outdoor markets and fundraisers. Fundraising for Jewels 4 Autism, a program dedicated to teaching meditation to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), was one of the founding missions of the company. Not only is every design created with exquisite quality and artistry, it is also cleansed and infused with its energetic vibration. Maye Malai infuses each stone through a variety of different methods. She has practiced mindfulness and meditation for over 15 years. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UCLA, as well as a Master's Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Currently, Maye is studying towards earning her Ph.D. in Metaphysical Science. Although meditation became very important to Maye in her early adulthood, it was not until she began her 7 year journey as a Behavioral Therapist for children with ASD, that she truly realized how important it was for her to practice mediation on a daily basis. She was able to witness the genuine light that these children naturally possess and what many people overlook. This was their natural ability to live in the present moment. Along with her experience with mindfulness, this profession also gave her the opportunity to teach these children valuable breathing techniques and calming skills that would help them cope with sensory challenges and overwhelming emotions. Although she loved her job, due to the nature of a high-stress environment, meditation did not just become a daily practice, but rather, an energetic necessity. The importance of daily mediation became the inspiration for the birth of STUDIO 111.
