A little bit of business etiquette makes the difference or as Gary V always says, “jab jab jab, right hook.”
I’m just gonna be blunt on this one because I know I’m not the only one: it’s never cool to ask for something from someone else up front ESPECIALLY IF you have never conversed, don’t know each other, no rapport, no connection or relationship established.

Not saying it’s impossible BUT if it were me, and I’m looking at potential people to collaborate with or do an event with or whatever opportunity, I’m then looking how to get into THEIR world.
I am not pitching myself. I am doing my research to make sure we’re a good fit. I’m genuinely trying to show I understand what they have going on. And I’m specific. (Aka I do my “homework”).
AND THEN, once some connection is established, it becomes almost natural to connect on another level whether that’s a collab, a podcast interview, an event, etc.
Is it just me? A bit of social media manners is due/appreciated. Or maybe I’m just old 😂
And also also also….because I know if I’m trying to consider the POV of the person asking…I get that you want to grow or learn or are maybe stressed in your biz BUT there’s still a proper way to establish connection and actually get the help you seek.
My two cents ✌️
