It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear Debi Thomas, one of the owners of Traditions and truly the heart and soul of our company. But Debi was so much more than a business partner. She was family, a mentor, a source of strength, and a guiding light for all of us who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Debi was one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet, dedicating her life to her love of decorating and collecting seasonal decor. Her passion wasn’t just something she talked about, it was something she lived every single day. It is because of Debi’s vision, determination, and tireless effort that Traditions has not only survived, but truly thrived for more than thirty years. Every display, every collection, and every detail you see reflects her eye, her standards, and her deep love for what she built.
Debi faced life with remarkable strength and grace, even in the most difficult moments. She never let challenges define her, and she continued to inspire all of us through her perseverance, warmth, and unwavering commitment to the people and the business she loved.
After a nearly two-and-a-half-year journey battling a rare cancer of the peritoneum, Debi passed surrounded by love and family.
Barbara, Ryan, Vincent, and the rest of the Traditions family are committed to carrying Debi’s legacy forward, doing everything in their power to keep Traditions strong and her love of tradition alive for generations to come.
We know many of you formed your own relationships with Debi over the years, and she truly cherished the friendships and moments shared with each of you. ❤️
