Tataouine
I keep thinking about the south when I look at this one. The way Tataouine feels when the sun starts to settle, everything turning soft and golden, the earth holding onto that deep, warm tone. The buildings, almost carved out of the same clay they stand on. Nothing too polished, nothing trying too hard, just raw, textured, and real.
I named it Tataouine because it carries that same feeling. The glaze reminds me of those sun-washed walls, the speckled texture like grains of sand caught in the surface, the shape simple and honest, like something made to last.
This form is usually found in glass, light and fleeting, but I wanted to ground it in ceramic. Give it weight, something you can hold onto the way those places stay with you. And somehow, it turned out to be the perfect size for a latte, generous, comforting, meant to be held slowly.
