Mickey Mantle. Number 7. The Switcher. The Mick. HOF GOAT.

While it's not a true error, this card is sometimes considered a 'double-feature' Mantle from the 1959 Topps set. The standard and more well-known card from that year is card #10. Card number #564 was part of a special series honoring players chosen for The Sporting News All-Star team.

Just a few years before this card was issued, Mickey Mantle had one of the greatest seasons in baseball history. In 1956, he won the American League Triple Crown by leading the league in batting average (.353), home runs (52), and runs batted in (130). He also won the American League MVP award that year.

Mickey Mantle is considered to be one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Truly grateful to have this in my collection. Can't wait to see what's next!

Both graded PSA 9s, this is Kobe Bryant’s iconic 1996 Topps base rookie card, one of the most recognizable basketball rookie cards in the hobby.

5-Time NBA Champion (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010) – Kobe helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to five championships, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest winners in NBA history.

After being drafted out of high-school, being only one of a few of to do so, Kobe was selected to the NBA All Star game at only 18 years old.

Truly defining what greatness is, his mamba mentality is passed on forever in his legacy.

Blessed to have these cards, Kobe is a huge inspiration to me too this day.

What a new edition to the PC! Paul Skenes is one of the best pitchers in the league right now! Clear cut choice for this year's National League Young award. .
Before he became a dominant pitching prospect, Skenes was an elite two-way player. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at the Air Force Academy, where he was a pitcher and a catcher/designated hitter. He was so good that he won the John Olerud Award in 2022, given annually to the best two-way player in college baseball..
After transferring to LSU for his final college season, Skenes became one of the most anticipated pitching prospects in recent history. His dominant performance, which included setting a new SEC record with 209 strikeouts in a single season and leading LSU to a College World Series title, led many to compare his talent to that of Stephen Strasburg, who was considered a generational pitching prospect in 2009..
Skenes's rapid rise continued after he was drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023. He made his MLB debut in May 2024 and quickly became a star. Later that year, he was named the starting pitcher for the National League in the All-Star Game, becoming only the fifth rookie pitcher in MLB history to do so. He also won the National League Rookie of the Year Award.

What an absolute grail I just purchased! Some of you may know I'm the biggest Kawhi Leonard fan of all time! I've been following him since his rookie season with the Spurs! Some may say it's unhealthy the way I love Kawhi Leonard, but I digress...
I am grateful for the opportunity to have this card in my collection. I will truly treasure this forever! Thank you to the sportscard community that's helped me! This hobby would be nothing without you guys!
