"Bouke de Vries: Memories in Porcelain" closes this weekend 🚨

Most of the exhibition is located in the Bowles Porcelain Gallery, except this piece, which is front and center in the middle of the Rotunda. The sculpture is "Guan Yin in a Cloud of Plates," a grand display featuring the Buddhist goddess of mercy and compassion. That's what de Vries says he sees himself doing with his work, showing mercy and compassion to broken pieces of porcelain by repairing them with gold and giving them a new purpose.
