What a damn fun weekend! Fishing was killer for some, and real tough for a lot of others. Unfortunately, we fell into the second group there. Thankfully, I had some great crews that were willing to grind it out, and paid off. It wasn’t all butterflies and limits, but everyone that jumped in had a blast, and walked away with fish. I can’t ask for anymore than that!

A few special fish this weekend! 3 of our fisherman this weekend got the opportunity to catch their first salmon ever! Seeing the smiles and joy on their face while fighting the fish, and breath of relief when it hit the net…That’s what it’s all about.

Thank you to all who joined me this weekend. I look forward to the remainder of the season!

🚨It’s almost game time!!🚨

As we approach the lower Columbia closure, it’s time to start thinking about my personal favorite fishery of the year…. DRANO.

If you like fast paced fishing, rods going off, and enough chaos to keep things interesting, this is your kind of trip! These are action packed days chasing some of the best eating salmon in the Northwest, right in the middle of one of the most entertaining fisheries around.

Drano isn’t just about the fish, It’s about the experience. Boats everywhere, nets flying, people celebrating, people missing fish… maybe the occasional fist fight to watch on the bank 😂
it’s quite the show! Between all the chaos, we do everything we can to stay dialed in, and put you in the best position to hook into a feisty springer or two!

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just want to jump into something exciting, these trips are built to keep you engaged from start to finish.

I’ve heard the saying before, “there’s a BIG difference between getting one, and getting none.” ….. That saying couldn’t have felt more true than it did today.

Fishing was TOUGH… Not seeing much action around us, grinding it out, putting in the work, pass after pass, bait after bait… But that’s what makes days like this so dang sweet.

We stuck with it, and my buddy Kyle hooked into this beautiful spring Chinook! Chrome bright and earned the hard way. That’s what this fishery is all about right now… It’s not always easy, or glorious, but the reward is ABSOLUTELY worth the grind.

These are the fish people wait all year for… and they’re HERE. Spring Chinook season is happening RIGHT NOW. My absolute favorite part of this fishery is how one bite can change your whole day.

If you’ve been thinking about getting on the water, THIS is your sign. Let’s go hunt one down.

Who says child labor is a bad deal? These little goobers helped keep my hands from smelling like herring the night before our last trip! They absolutely loved doing their “science project” with dad.

After all the rain this last week, We are ready for the rivers to drop back into shape, so we can start chasing some springers around again!

After spending the late part of last week sick as a dog, it felt really nice to be fortunate enough to luck into the first springer of the year this morning!

It was a great morning with some damn good friends, and a birthday fish for Vinnie! I’m looking forward to a lot more of this!
