Sometimes photos are not able to tell the full story, but then sometimes they are. These photos tell the incredible story of some of the hardest workers I know! Our project and ongoing partnership with Hotel Longmont has been so amazing to watch unfold. From first meetings in March to installing plants this week and everything in between. On our way back to the shop Wednesday, John said, “You know what, Jessica? That was hard work. I feel proud of us!” You should feel proud, John! WAY TO GO! This is a partnership truly rooted in community and I can’t wait to watch it unfold. Happy opening Hotel Longmont ! Fantastic things ahead!❤️🪴❤️

What a morning! We had an absolute blast with students in the Global Inclusive Program at Regis University. We talked inclusive work places, plants and even favorite music artists. Thank you so much .regisuniversity ! We hope to come back again soon.❤️

We’re so grateful for another Happy Day Hangs that was full of fun and the best friendships! Thank you to our volunteers for making it the most special afternoon! These monthly gatherings are quickly becoming a favorite. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this incredible crew!

Sometimes I get a glimpse of the big picture, the reason I said yes to Happy Day Plants. Tonight was one of those times. I’ve written and deleted 47 captions here and there simply aren’t words.
Tonight we welcomed a whole new crew into 501 Main St.! The energy in the room was tangible. Thank you to our volunteers. We couldn’t do this work without you. And to our participants, THANK YOU for trying a new thing and trusting us. This is just the beginning!

It’s been a fantastic 7 months of Happy Day Hangs! What started out as a dream for a community program has flourished into more than we could’ve imagined. New participants have joined each month and we’ve got an incredible group of volunteers from the community! The only request we’ve had is for a similar program for a younger age group.
✨✨✨We are SO EXCITED to introduce you to our newest community program,
Happy Day Hangs Jr.! This monthly program will be offered for middle school and high school friends of ALL ABILITIES! We’ve got fantastic things planned and we can’t wait to meet you all. Spread the word and follow the link in our bio to learn more. We can’t to watch our Happy Day family grow even more!

Last night Happy Day Hangs had the amazing opportunity to give climbing a go with Longmont! Some of our crew showed up ready to climb as high as they could go and for some, putting on the harness was a really big step. I was amazed as I sat back and watched every single person try something new. I was reminded that we all deserve a chance to get out of our comfort zones and find strength that we maybe didn’t know we had. Meg, thank you for being the most fantastic coach and teacher for our group! Last night will for sure go down in Happy Day Hangs history! Thank you, for your kindness and generosity! I’m pretty sure some of us will be back very soon!

What started out as a cold and “slow” day at the shop quickly turned into a day that beautifully strung together all of our moving pieces. Successfully operating a business that holds space for retail, non profit programs, volunteer opportunities and all of the things that come with each of those can at times feel quite heavy. I was grateful today for a look at the big picture. In a matter of 2 hours we had an important planning meeting with some of our amazing staff and volunteers, we accepted a huge pottery delivery, had a shift change and got ready for me to step away for 24 hours to spend time with my mom in Denver. I was moved as I stood back and watched everyone pitch in. It’s truly a gift to be part of a team where everyone is working toward a single mission. There’s a strong force behind what we do and I’m so grateful for every person who contributes to Happy Day’s big picture. It’s going to be a cold weekend, but it’ll be cozy in the shop. Stop by and see what we’ve been up to. We’ll see you soon!
