⬇️Important info regarding our flowers and farmstand

We’ve been selling fresh flowers from the farm for 13 weeks now!

Here in central Minnesota - that’s a pretty big accomplishment thus far. 💐 I’m so thankful for all the skills and knowledge I’ve learned over the past seven years that has allowed me to make every growing season more successful than the last. Even though many of them were learned the hard way with lots of sweat, blood, and tears - both literally and figuratively 😅🫣

When planning for the 2026 season, I knew I wanted to plan in a “summer break”, both for myself and my family to enjoy summer, but also for a buffer that happens when the spring blooms come to an end and the summer annuals aren’t quite ready yet….

This also gives me and my crew some time to do the most needed farm chore…weeding 😜

So this week will be the LAST WEEK to get fresh blooms from the farm until the middle/end of JULY!

There may be a time or two that I post flower availability as we can never time bloom times exactly- but for the most part - the farmstand will be closed from July 4th - July 24 (ish).

If you need / want flowers throughout this period, still call or message for custom orders and /or in town delivery 💐

However the paper wrapped grab and go bouquets will not be available Thursday - Sunday like they have been over the last 13 weeks and will resume when all the beloved summer florals start to shine at the end of July.

Snow in June?! Nope… hail. ❄️🌱

Farming sure knows how to keep a lady humble.

Draya and I spent the afternoon uptown enjoying the event, seeing flower friends, great food, good conversation, and soaking in a beautiful summer day… only to come home to a surprise hail storm.

Thankfully it moved through just as quickly as it arrived, but it left its mark out in the field but after a little time, the flowers won’t even show for it.

And in true farm fashion….we carry on 💐

I saw that viral reel where someone asks a florist, “How do I keep my flowers alive?” and the answer shocked people:

You don’t.

Flowers are supposed to die.

At first that sounds sad… but maybe that’s actually what makes them so beautiful.

Flowers were never meant to last forever. They teach us to slow down, notice the details, fill the vase anyway, you share their blooms, breathe in the fragrance, and enjoy something while it’s here.

And peonies might be the perfect example of that.

Every year people wait and wait for peony season. We count the days, watch the buds swell, and then suddenly the fields explode with blooms… and before you know it, they’re gone.

Their season is short.
Their beauty is fleeting.
And somehow that makes them even more special.

You can’t save peony season for October.
You can’t pause it.
You simply enjoy it while it’s here.

So buy the bouquet.
Cut the flowers.
Fill the kitchen counter.
Share them with someone you love.

🌻Pockets full of sunshine 🌻

These beauties have been trickling in and have made their appearance in a few of last weeks bouquets, but now this week is their time to shine!

Did you know that we succession plant a lot of our summer annuals to allow longer harvest windows?

Sunflowers are definitely the winner for most plantings on our farm. I try to plant hundreds every 10-14 days throughout the growing season. Arlan just planted our sixth planting yesterday! We will fit it a few more plantings (now through July) before it’ll be too late for the season…..in hopes of abundant stems come August and September 🌻

Also, did you know, it’s because of planting and growing sunflowers our very first year (2020) that this little flower farm was created?!

We’ve learned a lot about growing these fan favorites throughout the years and it is my hope that it shows in the quality, vase life, and joy that these flowers bring in 2026 ☀️

💐EXTENDED FARMSTAND HOURS 💐

The peonies along with other amazing early summer blooms are starting shine ✨

A number of you have asked if the stand could be open on Sundays - I was hesitant at first as we try to keep Sundays dedicated to family time - but I realize how many of you are in town on Sundays and would love to drive by the stand on your Sunday drives home.

I will put bouquets out and will not be restocking for the day. First come first served as usual 😌

If tomorrow works well, then we will continue to be open on Sundays. Tomorrow is a trial and if needed we will resume back to Fridays and Saturdays 👍

As always, thank you for the support and enjoyment of our farm grown fresh flowers!

Off to make more as you all continue to exceed my expectations on the amount of bouquets needed 🤭
