Through fundraising, we support our mission with a number of free events and projects like the new park currently being built near the covered bridge and funding for a portion of the street lights that were installed along Robert Parker Coffin Road in 2019.

Before Mill Pond became one of Downtown Long Grove's most recognizable shopping destinations, it was just a vision. This Chicago Tribune article from July 28, 1974 showcases the original plans for what would become Mill Pond. The goal? To preserve the charm, character and historic feel that made Long Grove special.

More than 50 years later, Mill Pond remains a cornerstone of Historic Downtown Long Grove, home to unique shops, local businesses and the small-town atmosphere visitors love today.

For many longtime visitors, a trip to Historic Downtown Long Grove wasn’t complete without stopping by the beloved Pine Cone Christmas Shop. 💚 Sisters Amanda and Ramona were some of those visitors. Growing up, they loved visiting Long Grove’s Christmas stores with their family and dreamed of opening a Christmas shop of their own one day.

Years later, that childhood dream became reality when they opened Ritzy Christmas in the former Viking Store building, carrying on the tradition of year-round Christmas magic in Downtown Long Grove.

Today, visitors can still experience that same sense of wonder as they browse ornaments, décor and holiday treasures any time of year!
