Nightmares and Knick Knacks I started my website with the idea of creating fun homemade Halloween, Horror, and Spooky themed crafts. I didn't want to be a starving artist. Andrea Pfaff

I have always been creative in my life with drawing and doodling in high school. This lead me to go to art school and get a degree in Graphic Design. Once graduating however, I stayed at my retail job that I had during college. I stayed in various retail jobs for 16 years, and decided I was going to take that starving artist leap. Well I'm not quite starving since I still do work, but I am back to

creating and making things that I like and feel that others would enjoy having to display as much as I like making them. I got an idea when finding the little wood coffins. I wanted to embellish them and create with them so badly. After just a few, I was on a roll. I take each one apart to paint so that the closures are not painted over and the paper that I cover the boxes in are actually under the clasp. The boxes are either wrapped in Gothic inspired paper, comics, or hand painted. I love the process of looking what I have in my inventory and piecing each item with the best papers. Each box takes anywhere from an hour to two hours to make. Depending on if I am hand painting fine details as with the owls on my Twin Peaks coffin. I line up the papers on the sides so that the top and bottom match to each other. Since each item is handmade, they sometimes to not line up to the exact millimeter and there might be some slight imperfections. Thank you for looking at my shop!
