Woohoo!! Happy Filipino American History Month!! That's Morro Rock in Morro Bay, CA where Filipinos landed in 1587. Yes, before the Pilgrims landed in 1620!

And you are listening to O Ilaw by Ruben Tagalog from an album of Harana songs - folk songs used to serenade a lady love. Papa used to play this album at home in Chicago. He would also play harana songs on his guitar to relax.

Another clever entertaining time travel story! I loved the architecture of time travel - the travel moving constantly backwards.

I sympathized greatly for the mother, Jen, who is trying to discover why her son murders someone. But is also rediscovering other secrets about her family. I found myself constantly wondering if I had the chance to travel back in time, to right a wrong, what would I change.

I try not to dwell on whether or not this follows the time travel canon or argue about the minute plot holes. All in all a great quick summer read!

TGIF!! I'm "The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper" by Phaedra Patrick.... a lovely adventure story about a widower who finds a charm bracelet belonging to his wife and follows the clues in the charms to learn more about the life she led and the people who knew her, before meeting him...

I saw a tutorial on to make these adorable owl pincushions... and after making the first one - I remembered this animated film that I used to watch with my kids... if you haven't seen Legends of the Guardians... go watch it!! ennyhoo... imma make more of these adorable owls and cull the scrap herd... Happy !!
