I will forever be a fan of colors and textures in a lei. Sometimes, a lei will look like a mishmash of florals, but that's not always necessarily the case. Changing, removing, or replacing a few flowers within a lei can make all the difference. As a lei maker you're considering the placement of each bloom and where it'll sit when it's worn.
There are so many small decisions to make while creating each piece. Every decision shapes the lei into its final form. The front of the lei is just as meaningful and as beautiful as the back of the lei that you might not be able to see in photos. Every floral and bit of foliage is important to create the whole.
