Painted in some shielding for this that even with noiseless pickups, had some hum that showed up most under fluorescent lights. Ensuring even coverage and conductivity across the whole cavity and guard makes for a great insulator from outside noise.

Thanks to .woodford for the heads up on the water based shielding paint. Lots of thin coats and way less fumes.

Nothing like some authentic patina on a well worn guitar. This 1994 Mexican Telecaster is an absolute treat after we cleaned off enough finger cheese to make a pizza and replaced the rusted solid saddle screws. Insta wouldn't let me post the before pictures because they were NSFL (not safe for looths)

Customer states bad grounding problem and no output from the neck pickup after their friend worked on their guitar for them.

Aluminum foil and hot glue does not a cavity shield make. They just tacked the foil into place around the existing components after clipping the bridge ground wire to make it easier to get the foil in. It also was grounding the input lug of the neck volume pot.

"Shield" out, ground soldered and it's back on the road.

GUITAR CURRENTLY FOR SALE!!

This beauty of a Hummingbird was across the bench for a fret level and setup this week to prep it for sale. It plays beautifully and is only being sold to fund another guitar purchase. If I was in the market for another dreadnought, it wouldn't have made it out the door.

2019 Gibson Hummingbird
Asking $2800 including factory case and accessories.
New these are now $4000.
Only blemishes are light pick marks on the top. Very clean, plays and sounds like it should.
