Hello friends 🖤

I wanted to share an update with you all because this space and this community mean so much to me, and you deserve transparency.

I know there has been some confusion recently about certain posts relating to the business that have appeared publicly. I understand why people have questions, and I want you to know I'm aware of what's being shared and am currently working to get clear information about the situation.

Right now, I’m in the process of gathering information and exploring what options might be possible for the future of the shop.

At this moment, nothing has been finalized, and I want to be thoughtful and responsible about whatever comes next. Second Look has always been about people first, and I’m doing everything I can to consider all possibilities carefully.

I truly appreciate the support, patience, and kindness this community has shown me from the beginning. It means more than I can put into words.

I’ll share updates (on official channels) when I know more.

Second Look will be CLOSED MONDAY (January 19th) in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. But more importantly...

Dr. King was a Baptist minister and civil rights leader whose work in the 1950s and 60s helped challenge segregation, voter suppression, and racial violence in the United States. Through nonviolent protest, organizing, and belief in collective action, he reminded the country that justice is built, slowly and deliberately, by people willing to show up for one another.

MLK Day was established not only to honor his life, but to also continue his work, it is a Day of Service. Dr. King believed that real change lives in our daily actions: caring for our neighbors, questioning systems that harm, and choosing solidarity over comfort.

We believe community matters. Books matter. Conversation matters. And so does remembering that progress has always come from ordinary people doing brave, sometimes uncomfortable things together.

Today, we encourage you to read, to listen, to serve if you can—and to remember that the work Dr. King spoke of is still unfinished.

Second Look is looking to connect with bakers in/around Medina County who are interested in partnering with our shop. This is not a competition with other bakers we work with, but a collaborative space where multiple creators can share their work with the community.

You must be licensed with the Medina County* Health Department!

We ask that any information about the future of Second Look be trusted only when it comes directly from this page. Should any changes occur, they will be shared clearly and respectfully through official channels.

Second Look has been a hub for art, connection, and community care. We are proud to support local artists, host gatherings, and participate in service efforts like food and literacy drives, and we look forward to continuing that work.
