New bike day for someone :). Every now and again it’s time to upgrade. So, I decided it was time for me to get a new bike. The Scott Spark RC World Cup is an amazing machine! Equipped with SRAM T Type drivetrain, Flight Attendant suspension- electronically controlled that tunes as the bike is ridden, power meter, DT Swiss wheels, full carbon frame, handlebar, and rims, and so much more. It’s a super fun, fast, flashy, and it delivers!! So much fun!!

Well, another short track series has come to a close. The weather for the final 2026 S2F Winter Short Track Series looked ominous as we woke up to the sound of rain- heavy rain- falling in the early morning. As we readied ourselves for a final day of racing the rain subsided and we made our way there under cloudy skies.

The first racing action started early with Jadon racing the beginner men’s category, coming in 4th and 2nd overall for the series!!

Next up was Marie racing while still sick with some form of week long illness. She battled the sickness and the competition for a hard fought 2nd place finish and a 2nd place finish overall for the series!!

Then Jason was up racing single speed and Jadon followed up his race, racing clydesdale. The course conditions were improving by now from the mud that we started with from the rain. Lap times were getting faster and they had some strong racers to compete against! Jason finished 7th and Jadon finished 5th overall for the series!!

Tony came out to compete in the master’s category and rode a great race, finishing well with a 4th place and 5th for the series!!

Last but not least were the juniors. These kids are so amazing. Watching them ride so fast almost effortlessly. There were so many out there. It was fantastic to see! Payton and Carter came out, with Payton finishing 4th and Carter 13t, with Payton taking 3rd for the series!!

The team had another great year in spite of the snow, ice, and at times, the all around miserable weather and course conditions. Spirits were high, the tent kept the rain off, and didn’t break or blow away. :) A great way to start off the 2026 riding and racing season. Thank you to each of you who came out and supported our team and to Neal and all the volunteers who work so hard to put this event on. Great job all!!

This weekend saw a double header with makeup races on Saturday and Sunday from all the snow and ice we’ve had. We had some outstanding weather on Saturday and had a strong showing for our team. Both Marie and Jadon raced 2 races, Jason, Tony, Payton, and Carter came out to give it their all on a fast and dry track with lots of competition. Sunday was a different story, rain settled in and stole the show. Jadon raced twice - I’m not sure how! Marie, Jason, and Payton came out and braved the conditions. You know it’s cold when you see a Canadian shivering. 😅. Congratulations to Marie and Payton for hard fought second place podium positions. Looking forward to this Sunday for the season finale!

A reminder that THIS THURSDAY Purser Hulsey needs your help.

Mountain biking at Purser could look very different soon. Some redevelopment options include losing existing trails and dropping the planned bike skills park.

The good news? Plans are still in development—and public input matters.

👉 Wear helmet, MTB or Trailblazers gear.
