Update: added pictures of the skin. It has a wood kinda look but also maybe a coprolite?

I found a chalky piece of turquoise after taking over the shop and finally got around to stabilizing it. First was to get it hard enough to slab and then stabilized again to make it workable. It came out very well.

Pinolith is a metamorphic rock made up of dolomite, magnesite,and graphite. This piece comes from Austria. Canada is the only other location this material can be found. To me it looks like a black and white jungle scene.
