A float down the iconic . The team did well as we battled cold temps the first few mornings, frozen wading boots were thawed out by the fire.
The sun warmed the canyon up and by day 3 we started seeing bugs hatching, and more happy fish. We ended up catching fish on streamers, nymph rigs and dries.
The Smith River is so much more than just a good trout fishery. We are lucky to be able to float a river, shut off our cell phones, and just take in the massive canyon walls for 5 days straight. God bless and our public lands that give us access to such special opportunities and places!
