The very first collection from our handmade children’s line is here… and it could only be named one thing:
✨ The Miss Norma Collection ✨
Miss Norma was our next door neighbor when we lived in Texas, but truthfully, she became family.
She loved my children like they were her own grandchildren — sneaking them treats, babysitting, cheering us on through foster care, and asking about them constantly. When we had foster children, she even went multiple times to get fingerprinted so she could help care for them… though the fingerprints she’d worn down through a lifetime of sewing and hard work never quite cooperated. 🤍
Every week, she met with her sewing circle at church. Those sweet women knew all our names, prayed for our family, and even years later would still ask for updates about our kids. Miss Norma and I spent many afternoons talking sewing, fabrics, trims, and patterns. Before she passed, she gifted me many of her notions, lace, and trims.
Every single piece in this collection carries a little piece of her legacy. The lace and notions used throughout the collection came from Miss Norma’s own sewing collection.
And I think she would be absolutely tickled to know this collection bears her name.
A few things that make the Miss Norma Collection special:
🧵 Every piece is handmade by me
🧵 The tops are fully reversible
🧵 Patterns are intentionally playful and mixed
🧵 Pieces are designed to mix and match together
🧵 No two items are exactly alike
Because handmade means beautifully imperfect sometimes.
Because children are wonderfully unique.
Because clothing should feel joyful.
Once a piece is sold, it’s gone. I won’t be able to recreate them exactly the same — and honestly, I wouldn’t want to. Each one is meant to be one of a kind.
Thank you for being here at the beginning of this dream. I cannot wait to share the Miss Norma Collection with you all. 🤍
