Here’s the breakdown of what we spent on our 7-day Costa Rica trip for a family of 5! 🇨🇷✈️

Our biggest money-saver? Food.
Our hotel included breakfast, we stocked up on groceries, packed snacks for our adventures, and shared meals at local Sodas. Those small choices added up fast and helped keep our food budget surprisingly low.

Our biggest budget mistakes? 😅
• Accidentally over-tipping because of a communication mix-up between my partner and me.
• Extra car rental add-ons we overlooked after a long travel day and a midnight arrival.

Even with a few unexpected expenses, we were pretty happy with the final total. For 7 days in Costa Rica with a family of 5, paid for by thrifting!
