"Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
Yes, it’s Sunday. No, this is not a post about the Bible. This is about a person who decided to walk into our shop yesterday and then immediately walked back out spewing quotes about Jesus, erroneously making the assumption that we do not believe in Jesus or have a personal, spiritual connection to him based on what he observed walking only 5 feet into our shop.
This experience shows us that this is exactly why we're here, doing what we do. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it is one of the first times we've felt compelled to speak on it--and we will continue to speak up about it because we understand that open minds mean open hearts.
At Theo & Pax and our sister store, Your Inner Light, we welcome all regardless of what you believe in. We don't judge, we don't make assumptions, and we certainly don't condemn you for your beliefs. Our family-owned shops are based on integrity, unity, and love, and in that energy we strive to create a safe haven of acceptance for those who feel neglected and misjudged by narrow minds and guarded hearts that is pervasive in our society. If we want to change the world to be more open and loving, it has to start with us.
We welcome you to visit our shops, meet our family, and see for yourself what we're truly all about.
This is what I want to teach my little girl, who will grow up with these values and also be an excellent duster 🤣
