📣 Babylon Leather DIY kits are addicting. A year ago, I had never hand stitched a leather bag. I had seen some completed but never imagined it could be so easy to develop this skill set. Between The Bag Makers Workshop, Serina Fenn Lee, Teresa Stanton and Babylon Leather, I’ve acquired the skills needed to make the bags in these pictures. All came to me in a kit from Babylon. The kits include generous amounts of everything you need to complete the bag. Each pattern has a you-tube video to follow. I find it so relaxing to hand stitch. If you haven’t tried it, I recommend you sign up for the TBMW Babylon Sew Along and give it a try. 😊

I just finished a workshop where we stripped an umbrella, made a pattern from a panel, waterproofed our fabric and made a new umbrella! The workshops I attend are through www.the bagmakersworkshop.com. We make a lot of handbags, but sometimes they have a techniques or accessories workshop. They are zoom workshops with great instructors and a great facilitator. The workshops are recorded and paid participants have permanent access to the recordings. They also have a facebook group called The Bagmakers Workshop. My next project is waiting to be prepped!

Just finished this beauty in soft pink and light gray leather. It has two front pockets that you access from the exterior side zippers. The interior has a slip pocket, zipper pocket and a center divider pocket. It also has a removable crossbody strap and permanent shoulder straps. I love leather bags!
