Plant Talk Tuesday: Creeping Thyme! 🌸🌿

Looking for a tough, low-growing groundcover? Creeping Thyme (Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’) might be just what you need!

☀️ Sun: Full sun, 6+ hours daily
💧 Water: Drought-tolerant once established-keep it on the drier side
🌱 Soil: Well-drained, sandy or rocky soil
📏 Size: 2–4" tall and spreads 12–24" wide
🌸 Blooms: Pinkish-red flowers in late spring and summer
🐝 Bonus: Aromatic, deer-resistant, and great for rock gardens!

Creeping Thyme spreads along the ground and can create a beautiful, dense carpet of greenery and blooms.

Ready to spruce up your annual containers!? Get them fall ready at Canoyer Garden Center - Lincoln’s Fall Container Seminar🌾🌿

Join us for a fun seminar where we will learn to plant a fall container. Choose from variety of fall product including: mums, gloriosa daisy, ornamental millet, fountain grass, swiss chard, celosia, gomphrena, ornamental cabbage, and ornamental peppers!

🍂Thursday, September 10th, 2026 6:00 PM - 7:00PM
🍂Saturday, September 12th, 2026 10:00AM-11:00AM
