Recognizing local “prehistory” with Postville T’s.
The short-lived settlement, laid out by Russell Post in 1835, was located a mile west of where the town of Lincoln soon would be and eventually became a part of Lincoln in the 1850s. Postville was the Logan County seat from 1840 to 1848, and in its historic courthouse Abraham Lincoln argued cases as a judicial circuit lawyer.
