Next Friday January 2nd - the Hello Free Music Fridays series extends further into future dimensions with a live performance from the far out trio of:

John Pablo Rojas (Cello)
Indira Edwards (Viola)
Dave Hurley (Percussion)

John Pablo Rojas’ raw and unconventional voice on cello was a highlight of last March’s Free Music Friday performance, and we look forward to more classical counterpoint and unbridled abstraction from him in this format.

Indira Edwards is a composer and improviser who performs on viola, keyboards, electronics and voice in various contexts, including solo as Little Fly, in ensembles with Mike Khoury and Ben Hall, and in an abstract duo with Rojas as Iron Joy.

Dave Hurley is a percussionist and is the organizer of Free Music Fridays. He is an indispensable catalyst for creative activity in the Detroit improvised music scene, and we are always overjoyed to help him present his all-killer programming and ensemble curation here in the shop.
