I've been pretty absent on here, working away on my biggest creation yet. We finally made it past the first trimester, and I have to tell you, it was not fun. But after years of trying and a lot of heartache along the way, we finally have a healthy growing baby. Due August 27th, yay for year of the Dragon! While on our trip to Austin last December my morning sickness kicked in, but I did manage to search one antique shop while we were there and found this adorable 1940's baby bottle to add to my collection. The antique mother of pearl teething ring rattle is from the amazing !

I can feel it in my bones. The cold is starting to creep in. That means SPOOKY SEASON! Fall technically hasn't started yet but I can feel the change! What are some things you look forward to? For me, tourist season is starting to wind down. That means open beaches all to ourselves! I'm surprised more people don't come to the coast during the fall. It's the perfect time.

A beautiful pool of black glass. The frame is almost reminiscent of ancient Greece. Created during the New Moon, this scrying mirror along with the previous two (check out my reels) will be available this next Saturday for the market at their new downtown Portland location! This is my little piece of paradise, our cottage In Lincoln City, Oregon. At my core I've always been connected to trees and nature. I remember running away from the house when I was just a toddler to go hang out with my tree friends. I loved just sitting with them, and although I was in the middle of the Mount Hood national forest and should have been afraid for my safety, I knew I was okay. I was where I belonged. Nature has a wonderful way of healing. And with the chaotic emotions and time for change this lunar eclipse is bringing, it's time to sit with our thoughts and process what we need to let go. If you need a soothing balm and retreat, we are offering our beach cottage to others to rent through VRBO & Airbnb. Link is in my bio. It's a beautiful place with protected wetland habitat, large spruce trees and alders. It's also just a block to the beach. This is a witch friendly place and I've created a space at the back of the property that can be used for grounding work or meditation with quartz along the path to amplify intentions and a large chunk of petrified wood to help with grounding.

Hey, lil update! I've been working away at making a private Airbnb suite in our home. We have officially listed on Airbnb and VRBO. If you would like to come and stay with us a link is in the bio! Our home was built by one of the founding members of Tillamook in 1890...there may be a couple of ghosts that haunt the halls. But don't worry they don't bother the guests. Currently their target of choice has been my husband, who before this, was a non believer.

This is a safe space for all, we welcome anyone who appreciates historic homes. We are 15 minutes from Oceanside and Garibaldi. Less than 5 minutes from the Tillamook cheese factory. You access the space with a smart lock, you don't even need to see my face 😜. It comes with 2 queen rooms, a Jack and Jill bathroom, and a breakfast and snack area. See listings for more photos!

Oh, hey it's March! With the current state of things I just haven't had the energy to create. I've also been thinking that my content isn't important and there are bigger issues in the world.

As long as I get some low humidity weather during the next full moon and new moon cycles I will be making some more scrying mirrors. These will most likely be going to local shops. At this time I still have no plans to reopen my Etsy shop. Unfortunately I only have so much time in the day, and right now our rentals are taking a majority of that time. That being said, here's me in our stairwell. We will be launching the Goodspeed house on Airbnb by next month so keep a look out if you are interested in a getaway at the coast!

One of my favorite finds was this 1930's birth astrology book. It's purpose was to make it easy for people to figure out their horoscope in an easy way. I love the gold lettering on the spine. It has so much cool information including birth astrology charts and a section to write down notes that has never been used! How does a book this old not have writing in it!?

This last year has been a bit of a whirlwind of new life changes happening. If you have watched my stories you may have noticed me recently share that we have a vacation rental at the beach. As much as I love finding antiques and being a reseller of amazing finds, it's not something that is sustainable for me. Over the last few years I've put in hours upon hours of work missing out on things happening in life because I'm always busy. And not much reward to show for it.

Moving to coast we were hoping for a better quality of life away from the city and the crime. We got the opportunity to invest into a property and took it.

Now that our tiny beach home is ready for guests we are working on getting our Victorian home ready for guests. One of the reasons we really loved this home is not only because she's beautiful, but because she has mixed use zoning. We will be renting out the upstairs level that will have its own separate entrance. We hope to invite people who want to stay in a historic home while visiting the coast!

I also plan on making more scrying mirrors, something I enjoy putting my craft into. Being on the coast the humidity is thicker and I'm going to have to get creative with my mediums. If you are local to the PNW you can find some that I made last August in the local shops!
