We’re excited to share an update from Westfall Engravings.

The NFC card side of our business has officially grown into its own brand: TAP — Trusted Access Point.

Westfall Engravings will continue focusing on custom engraving, personalized products, business branding, awards, gifts, and specialty projects.

TAP will now have its own page, website, and direction for NFC cards, digital profiles, TAP Sync, and business connection tools.

If you’ve ordered an NFC card through Westfall Engravings, don’t worry — we’re still here to help, and we’ll be making the transition as smooth as possible.

It’s been a very productive weekend over here.

I’m rebuilding my entire NFC coding system from the ground up. This new setup will make creating new tap cards faster, smoother, and way more scalable as orders grow. I can’t wait to finish building out the website and database to support it all.

I also spent time running material tests with my 2W head. I’ve still got more testing to do, but dialing this in now means better quality products in the future — and fewer burned blanks along the way.

I got my riser in today for my LX2. Now I will be able to engrave taller items, and be able to start engraving cups.

I’m calling 2026 the year of tapping in.

The first photo shows the different NFC options I offer — tap cards in metal, acrylic, and wood, plus tap dog tags and NFC stickers for everyday use. Same simple idea across the board: tap your phone and instantly share what matters.

The second photo is one that really gets me excited. A small yellow tote filled with metal NFC tap business cards, all waiting to be engraved and ready to go to their new owners. Honestly, just selling this tote alone would be a game changer for Westfall Engravings — and it’s wild to think this is only the beginning.

I’ve been having a lot of fun pushing what my LaserPecker LX2 can do, and this one came out especially good.

I just finished a new metal NFC business card for my business, and the detail on it is unreal. Being able to watch the engraving live makes it easy to dial everything in and make sure the final result is exactly right.

The NFC side is what really gets people though — just tap the card and all my info pops up instantly. No apps, no typing, no hassle. Once people see it work, they immediately ask how they can get one too.
