HAD SOME VISITORS A LITTLE WHILE AGO!!!
The doe and her fawn (a small buck) have been hanging around our house for a few weeks.
However, today a large group of turkeys showed up ahead of them and were eating sunflower seeds that had fallen out of my two wooden bird feeders.
(The pole that holds the feeders broke during the night and the seed were scattered everywhere.)
I think the deer were just trying to figure out who the "intruders" were, 🤣
(The deer are hiding from hunters and I think the turkeys are hiding too like they know that Thanksgiving is next week???) LOL

Yes, I do realize that this video is about Memorial Day, but the sentiments it brings up are the same and can easily apply to "Veterans' Day". I am reminded of my own father who fought during WWII against brutal men like Mussolini and Hi**er, who were Fascists. Pretty much the same as Dictator, Authoritarian, etc.

This was a very powerful video last year and still applies, if not more, today

Sadly, over 1.1 MILLION of our Veterans get SNAP Food Assistance benefits as well as MANY of our active duty personnel, not to mention many elderly, disabled, single parents, families with disabled children, grandparents raising grandchildren, foster parents, etc.

The refusal from a "Commander in Chief" to fund those benefits even after given a Federal Court Order to do so, in my view, and then to "appeal" that decision which has led to a "pause" is totally unacceptable.

I will ALWAYS stand for our military personnel and Veterans. Always.

Over 1.1 Million of our Veterans as well as many active duty military personnel get SNAP benefits.

NOT acceptable to intentionally withhold food from ANYONE.

Events like this inspire me, and all of us as they provide a strong Hope for the future, where it is "the People" that make a difference expressing their feelings of compassion, empathy and simply "wanting to help others". So very much is needed today for so many. God Bless ALL who take part in this event. ❤
