This Saturday!!! Ellen & Joe decided to try some smaller festivals throughout the summer—this gives vendors an opportunity to showcase their business, reach new customers and sell some of their wares. Everyone is welcome to come shop and another goal is to give those visiting the area something to do. Campers, boaters, fisherpeople, sun worshippers……
LMA will be there with a sampling of alpaca products. I have a few sets of dryer balls and bird nesting balls. I’ll bring the alpaca tea bags to feed those new plants you have for summer. And socks…..I’ll bring socks! I’m still selling survival socks because they are so comfy for cooler evenings, even at the beach!!
Come say hi and visit these vendors.

Updated Vendor List. We had a couple more sign up. Please share.

I was just getting ready to go looking for them—she was a good momma and brought them to the garage for the night. She did go to the girls barn the other night, for the night. However I put them in a cardboard box and brought them up. A opossum or raccoon might find them in the barn and momma would never be able to fight off something that big….she would try though.

It’s never status quo here. Always something to watch for. There was a 2 against 1 fight out front. The rooster and another hen was fighting with momma hen. Broke that up quick apparently they are going to have to be supervised all the time. The hens can be a hateful as a roo.
Of course what can go wrong will……Jetta discovered the gate only appeared locked, lesson learned. Loke I remind my helpers-take a breathe. They can sense even the slightest of anxiety from a human and then things really go south!
I thought it was cool especially in the shade, the female sunbathers were hot! As soon as the hose comes out to fill a bucket for drinking, chaos begins. The old lady, DJ was standing in their bucket, a first for her. Menopausal perhaps?
The helper had a helper so there was a snafu with food in Jazz’s barn? He must have been surprised LOL
Lots of great surprises today! Brand new visitor and an old friend stopped.
Alot was accomplished today and can you believe-I was not involved in any of it?

Open for visitors today, 12-4pm and don’t forget I have eggs!!! Lots of eggs—$2 and please bring your cartons

I’ve had a few thoughts come to mine for some new Enterprises 😂 first of all take a look at all this space once in a while one of the boys will run through this space or they might chase each other or they’ll look at the deer in the back. How about sun tanning with the alpacas buy a summer pass bring your own chair you can park down there right by the fence go out there all by yourself like a little private oasis. And tan other than me, walking past the fence with a wagon. Nobody will bother you and actually there’s enough distance where we would never even have to interact. Just nice and peaceful in your string bikini no neighbors watching you no judgment.🤷‍♀️
my second idea was have someone shadow me from 8 AM to 10 PM maybe 11 PM you’re gonna need your sneakers to keep up with the old lady no discussion no nothing just chase me around all day long. Bring a sandwich if you’re lucky you’ll get time to eat it don’t have to do anything. Follow me around then when we come in you get to sit down maybe there’s computer stuff to do some paperwork to look at you might get some leftovers to eat at about 9 o’clock at night. If you’re lucky you’ll get to run to the dollar store and get necessities like toilet paper and gummy bears. That’s if you’re lucky. I’m not complaining I like it. I enjoy it. I just wish I was a little younger and I wish I would have some sort of a machine so I have no machines here on the machine. The only thing that’s mechanical is my lawn mowers Menor is haul with wagons I used to use my lawnmower to pull my wagon back to the end of the fence but last summer I found that I was using a lot of gas. I filled my little 2 gallon gas can up yesterday at the sheets and it cost me over $10 $10 to mow the grass before too long. We won’t be able to afford a cut our grass. Maybe we should just let it all go some parts of my yard haven’t even been mowed yet this year and I kinda like it I have stuff growing it’s sort of like natural $10 for 2 gallons in a little gas can $10.36. Needless to say my spicy mouth had something to say about that standing at the gas pump that’s another advantage to working with animals. I don’t care how you talk I constantly talk to the animals I think that’s why I have such a good relationship with them because they know we’re all one big happy herd. My alpaca has come when I call them. I have a couple of boys right now my old very very skinny males. I’ve been putting outside loose on grass Tyrone yesterday. I do think he was doing a little wandering. But they come when I call them. A lot of kids don’t even do that. My chicken even comes when I call her with those babies. Watching those things is amazing. They are so stinking cute and they are trying so hard to be just like her.
Maybe I’ll start a podcast can you make money from podcast? I guess if people have to subscribe. Can I make increments of $26 that’s how much a bag of feed cost. So that’s how I look at everything. Can I buy a bag of feed?
I was thinking yesterday as I was trying to trim tree limbs, thinking that maybe I need a bigger trimmer. I’d really like to start something that is female enabling. Something to encourage females to change their way of thinking to give them a sense of worth. Do you know some women don’t even know how to use a cordless drill? Or how to operate an electric saw.? that’s why when I have these young people here I allow them to do everything especially the girls. Don’t worry parents I do not have a chainsaw and I will not purchase a chainsaw. I think I would get in trouble with a chainsaw. I would have everything cut down either that I would probably lose literally a limb. 😂😂😂
Don’t forget lots of eggs happening here. Two dollars and bring a carton or two I’ll fill them for two dollars.
Fun final thought if anybody wants to pool their cash. Let’s get together and open a car wash or a v**e store.$$$$

As a lot of people already know, I have been cutting back on the amount of travelling the alpacas do. I have unfortunately had to say no to several events. There are several reasons for that. Financial reasons, unfortunately, I cannot do things for free anymore and some events I come home with just about nothing. Physical work is another reason. It was never my intention when I started the alpaca life that I would be hauling panels and heavy tubs until I was a decrepit old lady! The majority of the work that goes into an alpaca outing is usually done a day or two prior to the event. Loading panels, maneuvering the trailer, packing product if needed. And to be quite honest, some events are more of a PIA than anything. So with that being said, 2026 will be the last year that the alpacas leave home. This decision was not made quickly nor lightly as we have met a lot of amazing people of all ages. Some events are a great day out however till I get there, I’m exhausted and when I arrive home all this stuff has to be unloaded. I am no longer physically willing to do that nor financially able.
