05/28/2026
As a lot of people already know, I have been cutting back on the amount of travelling the alpacas do. I have unfortunately had to say no to several events. There are several reasons for that. Financial reasons, unfortunately, I cannot do things for free anymore and some events I come home with just about nothing. Physical work is another reason. It was never my intention when I started the alpaca life that I would be hauling panels and heavy tubs until I was a decrepit old lady! The majority of the work that goes into an alpaca outing is usually done a day or two prior to the event. Loading panels, maneuvering the trailer, packing product if needed. And to be quite honest, some events are more of a PIA than anything. So with that being said, 2026 will be the last year that the alpacas leave home. This decision was not made quickly nor lightly as we have met a lot of amazing people of all ages. Some events are a great day out however till I get there, I’m exhausted and when I arrive home all this stuff has to be unloaded. I am no longer physically willing to do that nor financially able.
