I love pottery—whether it’s supporting a local artisan or shaping clay with our children at our local pottery places—because each piece is a reflection of the Creator’s hand. Like clay in the potter’s hands, we are molded, shaped, and refined by trials, not broken by them. Every vessel is unique, just as we are, fearfully and wonderfully made. Pottery reminds me that even through fire, we are formed with purpose, beauty, and grace.

Every year it’s been a tradition of ours to add some pottery to our collection from at & this was his last year for it! 50 seasons! My grandparents go way back with Roger & have quite the collection which made me want to start one of our own. I chose this beautiful color theme! We have a few more pieces to go, but these were our last Fort Days tradition picks!

Beautiful, Roger! Just beautiful! So grateful for our yearly visits! We will treasure all of them and our conversations. You guys are so genuine and sweet. We will see you soon!

✨MADE IT MONDAY✨

For Christmas we surprised our youngest daughter with a sewing machine🧵 To MY surprise, I didn’t realize how much I LOVE SEWING!! After fixing a strap on her dress, and shortening straps on my summer jumper, making little pillows, bags, and scrunchies, I decided to really challenge myself and make a dress out of some material her and her daddy bought for me. I want to get linen material. This is more like a beach coverup material so no lining! Everyone was impressed! I forced myself to learn how to use the machine so I could help my daughter learn to sew! It’s no good just sitting there! Right?! My husband still remembers how to use one from his life skills class in HS. I said to myself, “that’s it.. let’s learn this thing!” I’ve been hooked ever since! I crave sewing! 🪡

I’ve had beeswax for a few years that I never made anything with. I forget why I bought it in the first place, but it’s always in the back of mind to do something with it! I need to clip the organic wick, but it’s so so sweet 💛 😌 🍯 🐝 🕯️
