I completed this Kibler Colonial rifle kit for a client who wanted it assembled and finished. To match other rifles in his collection, It was stained with Laurel Mountain cherry red and the lock and barrel were brought to a fairly high polish. This is a Rupp style patch box with hand engraving. Look at that curly maple with the traditional finish. I enjoy finishing rifles using traditional techniques, such as hand scraping, ferric acid dye, and traditional hand applied oil and resin finishes.
