Where did your bike take you this weekend? A bunch of our amazing customers/friends went to Emporia, Kansas for the infamous Unbound Gravel Race. Lightning, rain, deep mud, and even bats could not keep them from the finish line! Way to go Jordan, Jeffrey, Ari, Fe, Beth, Gary, John, and everyone else who went and rode!!

Happy New Bike Day! Some of you may remember a couple years ago when we posted the before and after of Meg’s old Raleigh cruiser. She still rides it frequently but decided it was high time for a “go-fast” bike! The Avail Advanced 3 was a match made in heaven, and she can’t wait to join us on our Drop Bar Diva rides now! Enjoy your new bike Meg 🩵

Where did your bike take you this weekend?
We spent the weekend exploring a mix of pavement, gravel, and dirt roads tucked away around Laurel Lake. The route is a fun series of out-and-backs that starts out fast on the pavement and gets more interesting (i.e., gravelly) once you hit the gravel and cross into the Daniel Boone National Forest.

With the heat and sun, stopping by the water for a view of the lake was a must. We loaded up the gravel bikes with some lightweight chairs, lunch, and a stash of cold drinks to reset before hitting the technical sections again. It’s an adventurous route to the lake and definitely a workout, but catching it on a Monday meant the roads were quiet.

If you want to head out there yourself, shoot us an email for the parking info and the route link: [email protected]
