Hey everyone, quick update for those following the news about yesterday's ATF suppressor injunction and the stay lifting. If you've seen the headlines or videos of unregistered transfers happening at midnight, you probably have questions about what this means for buying a silencer through me.
Here is where I stand: I do my ordering through Silencer Shop and SilencerCo at times, but I use multiple other vendors as well, and I currently have zero physical suppressor inventory on the shelves right now.
Because I don't have items sitting here to transfer, I'm not in a position to push anything through under the new ruling today anyway.
More importantly, the situation is moving incredibly fast and the ruling doesn't automatically mean a wide-open blanket exemption for everyone yet.
Both SilencerCo and the major compliance networks are updating their dealer portals today to figure out exactly how the paperwork (like the new Form 4S frameworks) will actually be handled safely.
I am choosing to proceed with caution. I am pausing any new orders and inbound transfers for a few days until the ATF and my distributors issue clear, written processing guidelines.
The last thing I want to do is rush an order and put a customer or my license at risk over a paperwork technicality while the dust settles.
If you have a pending order or were planning to start one this week, hang tight. I am monitoring the dealer portals and the eForms site constantly. As soon as I have a validated, green-light process from my distributors, I’ll let you know exactly how I’m moving forward.
Thanks for your patience and for keeping it local. Let me know if you have any questions.
