You wiped us out on Delwood, but have no fear, we had two appointments yesterday, and I have two more tomorrow, and more coming. We promise we won’t run out of stuff! The first two photos show items I put out for sale at Mid Ohio Antiques today, while the rest are of items at my friend’s garage sale this weekend at 1185 Larchwood Road as part of the Ranchwood neighborhood garage sales (Thursday-Saturday). The larger items belong to the host, while the 1000s of small things are all mine, and are $1 each……LOTS of little treasures. I will reload as the sale progresses and space is made. NOTE: residents have been unable to get a timeline for the paving of Larchwood, which is ready for the finishing touch, so it could ruin the sale, or we might be able to dodge a bullet. Also note: Sweet and Sour Thrift is also open this Thursday-Saturday, and Dora promises a nifty display of recently acquired items. See you soon, somewhere!

Here we go……This is POST #1 ( there will be a Post 2 shortly due to the large number of photos needed to give a reasonable picture of what we have). This Saturday, May 30th from 9am-6pm at 1059 Delwood Drive in the Madison area between N Stewart Road and Beal Road (take Hazelwood off either road and you’ll see it). As is our policy, no early sales, so early arrival is not a problem, but it secured early spot in line, rather than early admission. Finally, to “architectural” note: if you stand over 5’ 8”, plan on hitting your head on the dining area light fixture (I can’t raise it) and the stair climber is out of service with the chair at the top, meaning that most large items from the basement will have to go out the basement exit. I’ll have a posting on Craigslist later tonight with a partial description, but the photos here give a pretty good summary. LOTS of great glassware and the oddest mix of furniture we’ve had in a while. We’ll see you Saturday!

What was supposed to be a quick “drop and run” at Mid Ohio turned into a two-hour stint at the shop as customers saw my car and kept coming. So now I have some room for whatever walks in tomorrow?! Recent trips to Perrysville, Bellville (x2), and the Madison area (x2), a call from Bucyrus, and continuing efforts to get our May 30th sale ready, I’ve taken plenty into Mid Ohio Antiques and Sweet and Sour Thrift (NOTE: they are not open this weekend; save your gas and allowance for next weekend). Here are items taken to Mid Ohio Antiques, plus a few items for specific customers (you’ll know if it’s for you), and a couple sneak peaks into our upcoming sale. Some glass will end up at Mid Ohio, as there is too much for one sale. I’ll show in a few days what I’ve taken into the shop. Until then, get ready, things could get hopping! See you soon.

Made some buys Thursday, Friday, and this morning. Plus……I’m taking in a few of the MANY fine pieces of glass from our sale coming up on the 30th. Some of the items came into the store, while others came from two other purchases, but ALL are at Mid Ohio Antiques (155 Cline Avenue) when they open Sunday the 17th at noon (until 5:00). Had a productive day working on the sale today, and will put in more tomorrow. You’re going to like this medium-sized sale. Stay tuned! ALSO: Dora is selling some recent purchases on Whatnot on Sunday mornings, if you’d like to see items other than at our two shops and sales. See you soon.

Haven’t posted this week, but we are hopping! After the Biscayne sale, Dora cleared out a houseful, we bought a small houseful, I’ve purchased 8-10 totes of a wide range of glassware and collectibles, we made an offer on a fantastic houseful in Perrysville, AND we are working on our next sale that will be maybe the 24th, but most likely the 31st. Regardless of the date, it’s an interesting sale with at least 160 pieces of fine glassware (mostly Fenton, in all colors, sizes, and styles….satin, hobnail, opalescent, swung, silver crest, etc)…..too much for one sale, so some of it will hit the market on Dora’s Whatnot show this Sunday morning, while others will get to each of our stores, still leaving the vast majority at the sale. Pardon the lack of photos, but when I’m working at Mid Ohio, I make time to buy, and do some pricing, but often don’t have time for photos. Here are a few pics I managed to snap, but there’s plenty more of the new stuff at both shops. Maybe I can get more into one or both shops this weekend? We’ll see you soon…..out in the Madison area again, unless we catch you at one of the shops before.

Another Dollar Day success! Thanks a million. We are now on to our next ventures. Dora is looking at a large assortment of furniture and smalls, but not enough for a sale…..she’ll let you know as it approaches. We looked at a great estate yesterday, and hope to finalize things next week. If all goes well, we’ll be back out in the Madison area for more treasures! This post shows items I picked up over the weekend, and at the store this morning, plus a few photos showing other newer stuff. I also put out a box of maybe 50 wristwatches at $3.00 each, but forgot to snap a pic. See you soon!

Wow! You love your Pyrex, Fire King, Corelle and Corning……so much so, we’ll only have on Corelle plate left for tomorrow’s DOLLAR DAY! Monday, May 4th. As usual, EVERYTHING that is left is now $1 or less (ignore all price tags). We’ll open promptly at 9:00 am and run until 2:00pm or until we run out of stuff. So, YES, the 2 table and chairs sets, the tool boxes, gas cans (some with precious fluids!), lift chair, Craftsman work bench, 100s of hand tools, corded power tools, garden tools, 2-file cabinet desk, small appliances, are all included. We’ll see you in the morning at 474 Biscayne Drive; 9:00am sharp.
