This may finally answer a question that Transformers / Go-Bots collectors have asked for years…

Were the warning label stickers added later as an afterthought, or were they actually being tested alongside the printed warning format during development?

I think these Factory Approval Samples (showing lower blister placement) from the Jerry Palmer collection may finally shed some light on that question.

Look at these six 1995 Transformers Go-Bots factory approval samples that came directly from Jerry:

Gearhead, Double Clutch, Motormouth, Firecracker, Blowout, and High Beam

At first glance, they look like normal production examples, but after comparing them to retail cards, something unusual jumped out immediately:

The blister placement on these samples sits approximately 8mm LOWER than the final retail release.

How do I know the exact distance?

Because one of the original internal “Hasbro Standard green card test sample” from the same group specifically states:

“Blister should move up 8mm from piece one.”

That means these represent an earlier packaging approval stage, before Hasbro finalized the retail card layout most collectors know, with regular blister placement.

Now here’s the part that gets interesting…

Collectors have often assumed the warning label stickers were simply introduced later in production. But the evidence here may point in another direction.

I have identical examples of the same characters (i.e. Motormouth) from Jerry’s collection with the exact same early low blister placement — one with the warning sticker and one without it.

Even more interesting, every normal retail example I have seen is with the higher final blister placement version and appears to be without warning stickers. Meanwhile, warning sticker examples I have found (including examples from another dealer) also appear tied to this earlier low-blister placement run.

If that pattern holds true, it suggests something very interesting:

Rather than the warning sticker being a later addition, these may have been simultaneous factory approval options, produced during the same developmental window to determine whether the applied warning sticker or the printed warning format worked better before final production.

Can I prove that absolutely? No.

But between the internal 8mm correction document, the matching low-blister placement, and the warning label pattern, this may be the strongest evidence I’ve seen yet.

Exactly the kind of obscure behind-the-scenes toy history I love finding in the Jerry Palmer collection.

Would love to hear thoughts from serious Go-Bots / Transformers collectors — has anyone else ever noticed early low blister placement / warning label sticker examples?

🔥 FOR SALE: 1995 Beast Wars Cheetor Factory Approval Samples (Jerry Palmer Provenance) 🔥

I was going to grade them, but after 12 years, maybe its time to let them go, to someone that actual will. Here are something you almost never see, factory final approval samples of 1995 Beast Wars Deluxe Cheetor (Blue Eye Variant) that were sent directly to Jerry Palmer from the factory in the Orient (commonly referred to internally as “Hasbro Far East”) for approval.

These are NOT later reproductions, customs, or ordinary store pulls. These are authentic factory sample / approval examples tied directly to one of the key designers behind the line.

📌 Details:
• 1995 First Release – Rock Blister Version
• Blue Eye Cheetor Variant
• Factory Final Approval Samples
• Direct Jerry Palmer provenance
• Condition is exceptional — about as nice as you could realistically hope to find

There are two packaging variations available:

✅ “AGES 5 & UP” variation (6 available)
✅ Warning label variation (4 available)

All 10 examples are considered first release 1995 rock blister cards, and visually appear nearly identical to retail production versions — because these represent the final approved state before mass retail distribution.

$225 SHIPPED EACH
(Your choice of package variant while available)

These are the kind of pieces that almost never surface outside of former Hasbro employee/designer collections and are an incredible addition for a serious Beast Wars, Transformers, prototype, or archive collection.

PM me if interested. First come, first served on package variation.

🔥 FOR SALE: EUROPEAN G2 POWER MASTERS EP2 PREPRODUCTION LOT of 3 – JERRY PALMER PROVENANCE 🔥

Offered here is an extraordinary lot of THREE documented European Generation 2 “Power Masters” prototypes samples from a 1994 Hasbro Far East assortment

Included in this lot:

✅ Ironhide (PM2)
✅ Meanstreak (PM2)
✅ Staxx (Power Masters)

These are the European G2 Powermasters releases and came directly from the estate of longtime Hasbro/Kenner executive Jerry Palmer, who worked extensively with Transformers and related toy lines during the era.

These are not simply loose production toys. They display multiple observable differences from known retail European Power Masters releases:

🔹 All three figures lack the molded production/copyright markings found on retail examples

🔹 Ironhide features a unique underside “AUTOBOT” marking not present on production releases, occupying the same area where retail examples carry molded legal/manufacturing text

🔹 Ironhide displays different camouflage/deco coloration (blue) versus production examples (green)

🔹 Staxx features the purple Decepticon lettering/logo in a different location than retail production examples

🔹 Factory-sealed in original plain polybags and apparently shipped directly from manufacturing to Jerry Palmer for internal review (Staxx tape naturally detached, so it is not sealed)

Included are TWO copies of original Hasbro Far East customs/sample documents dated 5/7/1994, referencing the exact assortment numbers.

Paperwork references:

80151 & 80154 – Motorcycle & Military Vehicle
80152 & 80153 – Funny Car & Tractor Trailer
Transfer of ownership from the Palmer estate

These are the kinds of pieces that almost never surface with:

✔ Jerry Palmer provenance
✔ Original Hasbro Far East customs paperwork
✔ Factory-sealed baggies
✔ Observable production differences from retail
✔ Documented engineering pilot designation

💰 Price: $1,000 SHIPPED (USA)
SOLD AS A LOT OF 3, will not separate.

Very nice 30 year year old Transformers / European G2 / Power Masters / prototype collectors.

Once these leave my collection, there will likely never be another opportunity to acquire this exact documented EP2 grouping.

2 sets of these are available, identical condition.

PM if interested. Additional comparison photos in the comments below.

🔥 FOR SALE: 1995 UNRELEASED G2 GO-BOT “BLACK VIPER” PROTOTYPE 🔥

UPDATE: only two left

Offered here is an authentic unreleased 1995 Generation 2 “Black Viper” Go-Bots — one of the most elusive canceled late-era G2 pieces. Black Viper was planned for release but never made it to retail. 12 years ago I acquired them and released them to the public.

These examples originate directly from the estate of Jerry Palmer, longtime Hasbro/Kenner designer associated with the Generation 2 / Beast Wars era. I acquired these directly from the Palmer family years ago as part of Jerry’s former collection of prototypes, engineering samples, and unreleased development material.

💰 $700 SHIPPED (U.S.)
📦 Ships securely packed
✅ Authentic unreleased pre-production item

PM if interested. First come, first served.

ONLY 14 REMAINING! (Edit: now 12 remaining)

I realized my last post showed a case pic from several years ago, that incorrectly indicated far more of these were available (nearly a half a case in that ancient pic). A few of you asked how many I had left; the answer is ONLY 14 tape sealed ones. I sold 10 of these in my last post. IF you want one NOW is the time before they sell out. … and they will sell out. Also, including some paperwork discussing it and providing provenance.

1995 NightRacer used for BotCon exclusive

This GoBot figure is nearly 30 years old. It was produced by Hasbro in 1995 in a quantity of only 500, yet this figure is FAR rarer. Less than 100 exist in the original factory sealed bag.

When Hasbro manufactured them, each was individually bagged and sealed at the factory. This was their “mint in the bag” or “mint in the package” state.

Of the 500 originally produced:
-300 were given to convention organizers of the 1995 Bot Con. Where they were removed from their factory bags, blue stripes and a sticker were added to them, and distributed as the 1995 Botcon exclusive Nightracer.

-100 were issued to WhizBang Toys for its 1996 FX convention. They removed them from their factory bag and repackaged them in their own type of packaging.

-100 were left their FACTORY SEALED bags (like the one pictured in this listing)

This is the ONLY factory sealed version of this insanely rare figure. This factory sealed version makes up less than 20% of the production run. And fewer than 100 exist in their factory bags, because several we have sold have be opened. Also, you’re welcome to customize this figure with blue lines and turn it into the Botcon version.

G.I. Joe Mortal Kombat RAYDEN Figure 1994 - Carded PROTOTYPE (Detailed Eyes)

Rayden (Raiden) was issued with all white eye but this prototype has very detailed eyes. Eye deco was changed to all white prior to production. This carded example also has what seems to be a ridiculous age recommendation of 10 years old, this was changed to Age 5 and a small parts warning label was more prominently feature on the front of the card (instead of along the card bottom.)
