At 1Wheel Parts, we've always prioritized color, comfort, and customization — it’s what we’re known for. This latest concept has been in development since the launch of our original 3D-printed Squishy grip tape back in the summer of 2023.

Lately, we’ve heard some chatter comparing our Squishy Hex to a product on the market called Sticky Feet. I don’t want to fuel the drama, but I do feel an obligation to clear the air as I'm getting exhausted of being accused of ripping people off when I’m not.

We’ve had open conversations with the team behind Sticky Feet — and even explored a possible collaboration that didn’t pan out, and we did it because we were fans of their products too.

Unfortunately, since our product line launched, they've gone a different direction that went against what I believe we had agreed on - but I don’t want that to be the topic of this post and instead, let me outline how we’re different from their products:

• Ours is actually squishy — theirs isn’t/wasn't :/
• Ours integrates with the Ignite Hex System — theirs doesn’t.
• Ours supports color underlays (Color Wraps) for styling your board with even more color options— theirs does not.
• Ours can be layered over existing grip for improved sensor engagement — theirs can’t.
• Our pedal pin design uses proven industry-standard tech.

On that last point — the pedal pins. These pedal pins are the same type used by Tech Rails and Future Motion on high-end footpads. Through extensive testing, we found them to offer superior grip, so we doubled down on that design.

We’re not about the drama or copying. We’re about trying to push the sport forward and I think it’s important for everyone to realize that there’s always going to be more than one tire company, just like there’s room for more than one grip tape brand.

All in all, we wish Sticky Feet the best in their endeavors, and regardless of this drama, we’re excited to see that the community has another vendor to support and push the sport forward.

We appreciate all the support we’ve received from the community over the past six years. We’re committed to pushing the limits and delivering the best grip tape and foothold systems on the market.
