Hey all! I am excited to share that two of my pieces were accepted into the Art on the Green juried show in Coeur d’Alene.
The event runs from Friday through Sunday, July 31 to August 2 at the Juried Show Pavilion on the North Idaho College campus, and a portion of every purchase supports the Citizens Council for the Arts.

If you are in the area or just need an excuse to get out of town, come check out some amazing art.

I’m thrilled with the incredible mural work completed by Jeremy and Madesta of Hedera Collective. Jeremy is a highly accomplished artist known for his tattoo work at Hedera. Madesta, a dedicated local nurse, finds time to create beautiful things in her spare time.

If you get a chance, come by the gallery and see what they were able to do to these big empty walls.
And stay tuned, we’re already talking about a possible third piece for the last blank wall.

The other night I had an amazing experience with a young great horned owl who decided I was no threat and he had bigger things to focus on.

He flew up as I drove by, then just… stayed. I moved my pickup a couple times for different framing, and he couldn’t have cared less. He was keeping watch on on the flurry of birds around and the hunt ahead.

It’s rare for me to have one sit out in the open like this. Calm, unbothered, and willing to share a moment. I’ll take the gift.

One of the most elusive animals I’ve photographed... the American marten. I’ve shared this marten before, mid‑climb and mid‑nap, but this image came afterward, when they rose slowly, wandered around, and paused to study me with curiosity. If you’re lucky enough to meet one in the wild, be ready. They don’t usually linger like this one.

A huge thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to Jaymee's reception last night. And congratulations to those who left with a beautiful new piece of art. (I sure did).
