HEALTH UPDATE:
I know it’s been awhile since I have posted an update.
So, I have a very important appointment tomorrow morning with an otolaryngologist (ENT) specialist. Because I have a nodule on my thyroid that has more than DOUBLED in size since my last biopsy. 😞Plus, my right thyroid gland is 5 TIMES bigger than my left one. And, on top of that, I also have enlarged lymph nodes in the same area. I’m really nervous about this. I have also been having trouble swallowing, sore throat, and significant weight loss. I just can’t put on any weight no matter how much I eat! I thought the weight loss was because of the progressive neurological disease that I have (which really messes with my digestive system and my heart). But, now my P*P thinks this could be the reason. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease (hypothyroidism) a few years ago. It seems that thyroid nodules are more typical than not for people with this thyroid disease.
Anyway, I know that they are going to have to do a biopsy AGAIN. And, even if it is not malignant, they will probably have to remove it or at least a part of it. If it is malignant, I know that thyroid cancer is a very curable cancer UNLESS it has spread to the lymph nodes.
And, this is why I am so nervous about this. Due to the sizes of the thyroid, nodules and my lymph nodes. 😔
I was wondering if you all could please send positive vibes and prayers for me. 🙏🏼
Because I really am struggling to be positive about this. 😔With ALL of the other medical problems I have, I really don’t want to have to deal with ANOTHER one.
Oh, and by the way, I ALSO have to have ANOTHER lower back surgery AGAIN! Because the hardware in my lower back is starting to fall apart! I would rather go through labor again than to have this surgery again!
Because that was the most painful surgery of all of them! Ugh! However, that is on hold until we figure out this thyroid problem. Yay me! lol
So, this is what is currently going on with me. If you have read this whole thing, thank you! I just needed to get this off my chest. The photo I am sharing has been my moto for quite some time now. I just have to remember that! 💙
