Lambing will start around April 20th. These two ewes will lamb for the first time this spring. Starting to get excited to see what we get. 17 ewes lambing = lots of babies!
Did you know that Finnsheep lamb in litters? They can have up to 5 or more lambs at a time but typically have 2-4 lambs.

Some years you do it the “ideal” way.
Some years you do what actually works.

I’ve always tried to keep everything in the garden completely natural—no plastic, no synthetics.

But this year? I know my limits and know that I won’t be able to keep up without making a change in how I manage the garden.

So we adjusted.

W**d barrier is covering most of the beds to keep things manageable…
And instead of cutting more strips of barrier, we used wool to fill in the gaps and edges.

Less waste. Less time. Still rooted in what we believe in.

It’s not all-or-nothing.
It’s doing what works so the garden actually gets done and can be enjoyable.

Because an imperfect system you can keep up with will always beat the perfect one you abandon.
