Welcome to Qwikflips! I have decided, after much thought, reflection, and prayer, to pursue building a business centered around my true lifelong passion of “flipping” items! I briefly flirted with this concept back in 2009, but put it on hold to focus on rebuilding hydraulic pumps, and then remodeling homes and businesses. Well, while I continue to recover from the severe injury sustained in May, I have been faced with the reality that I may never be able to physically work at the level I did prior to the injury.
While humbling to think about, I have come to realize that I am not on my own plan, but rather I am on God’s plan! I feel that I was blessed by God with a distinct skillset to realize that everything has a value to someone, and everyone has something of value they no longer want or need!
That is where Qwikflips comes in! It will be my mission to facilitate the exchange of these items!! Utilizing this unique set of skills, we will be taking items on consignment initially, and we will find buyers for our sellers. Conversely, we will also offer search services, where we will find sellers for our buyers!
Unlike a pawn shop, we are not in the business of loaning money. We specialize in moving items QWIKLY!
A little background on me…I started “flipping” sportscards wayyy back in 1987 as a 10 year old boy with an entrepreneurial spirit! I conservatively estimate that I have bought and sold over 10,000,000 cards in the ensuing 35 years since. Along the way, in my ”real” jobs, I have bought almost everything, and anything imaginable! I absolutely LOVE the art of negotiation. Whether for myself, my employers, or business associates, I always worked tirelessly to negotiate the best price/deal. Not always the LOWEST, but the BEST price!! I firmly believe that a fair deal for all parties involved IS the BEST deal.
We have a mountain of work to do to get this dream moving forward! More details will be rolled out within the next few hours/days/weeks! But I am so excited about this, I could hardly contain myself and had to release the news NOW!
In the meantime, a few people that I have spoken to have asked what they can do to support me and my new venture? Welllll….the answer is that I need stuff to sell, and I need to know what you are searching for! Now is the perfect time to dig out items…from the attic, the garage, the basement!
