Got Barn Wood's Independent Woodworking Program
A "partnering" program for woodworkers that have shops at home and like to make smallish items for a little extra money. (shhhhh....it's for extra tool money)
Got Barn Wood is a quality custom woodworking business located in Lenexa. In an effort to expand it's retail offerings, they are building a woodworker's network of at home builders which will build small woodworking items. These items will be sold via Got Barn Wood's existing and future marketing channels.
How it works:
Got Barn Wood "partners" with a registered and qualified independent woodworker which will build specific, predetermined items to be sold by Got Barn Wood via it's marketing channels.
There is no compensation to independent woodworker until the sale of the item(s) the independent contractor makes has taken place.
Got Barn Wood will select item(s) for independent woodworker to build.
Got Barn Wood will supply all materials for the project (s).
Independent contractor will collect materials from the Got Barn Wood location in Lenexa KS, take it home and build item(s) per job specifications. Upon timely completion of the item(s), independent contractor will return item(s) to the Got Barn Wood showroom.
Items will either satisfy existing orders or be marketed via it's marketing channels such as:
Got Barn Wood showroom, social media campaigns and/or other established and unestablished channels.
Compensation will be determined on a per project basis. There are formulas we use as a guide but can be modified.
Example: item XYZ sells via the Got Barn Wood showroom for $100. The $100 revenue is split 4 ways.
1 - 25% material cost to Got Barn Wood for supplying the materials
2 - 25% administration cost to Got Barn Wood which includes Got Barn Wood marketing expenses, sales expenses, sales tax admin and shipping and handling expenses
3 - 25% to independent woodworker as compensation/profit for building the item
4 - 25% to Got Barn Wood as compensation/profit.
