Important Update from Custom Wildlife Mounts

After a lot of consideration, I will be making some changes to how Custom Wildlife Mounts operates moving forward.

For the past seven years I have worked seven days a week, dedicating myself fully to this business and to producing mounts my customers can be proud of. I’m extremely grateful for the support this community has shown me and for everyone who has trusted me with their trophies.

However, everyone deserves time to enjoy life and family, and after a lot of reflection I’ve made the decision to narrow the focus of my shop. This decision did not come easy, but it is necessary to maintain quality and a sustainable workload.

Over the years I have tried to accommodate nearly every type of project that came through the door. In doing so, the workload has occasionally become larger than what one shop can efficiently manage, and some projects have taken longer than the turnaround time I hold myself to. Rather than continue stretching the shop too thin, I’ve made the decision to focus strictly on the areas where I can provide the highest level of quality and consistency.

Shop Focus Moving Forward

Custom Wildlife Mounts will only be accepting:

• Big Game Shoulder Mounts / Pedestal Mounts
• European Mounts
• Bird Mounts

The shop will no longer accept:

• Fish mounts
• Full body mammal mounts
• Repair work
• Any projects outside of shoulder mounts, pedestal mounts, European mounts, or birds

If you already have work in the shop that falls into these categories, you are completely covered and I will finish those projects as agreed.

If you have a project that falls outside of what the shop will be accepting moving forward, I will be happy to refer you to someone who can better accommodate your needs.

Deposit & Pickup Policy

Effective immediately:

• A 50% deposit is required to place your mount in line
• Customers will be expected to pick up completed mounts promptly
• After 30 days, a $3 per day storage fee will apply to mounts that remain in the shop

2026 Pricing Adjustments

Due to increasing supply and shipping costs, there will also be price adjustments beginning in 2026. I wanted to give everyone advance notice so customers can plan accordingly.

These changes apply to all future work, and I will not be making exceptions.

Moving forward, the goal is simple: focus on big game mounts and bird work, take on fewer projects, and deliver the highest level of craftsmanship possible on every piece that leaves the shop.

Lots and lots going on currently,
So here’s a basic rundown.
The rest of this month I’m finishing up all 2023-2024 season shoulder mount deer. Then I’m switching gears to Feathered February where I’ll get done with current waterfowl and turkeys. Then we will be on to Mega Mount March where it will be the rest of the barrel mounts and full body mounts. After that I’ll be completing this years deer till they’re done, most of which we already have tanned. As you can see I’ve done a complete shop Make-over so I can better serve the needs of Custom Wildlife Mounts And Outfitting. It’s been the best thing I’ve done in my shop in years. It’s letting me mount soooooo many more mounts without being handcuffed with dry time or table space.
I also think I’m gonna start weekly updating what’s being process and what’s coming up next week so people can prepare for pick-ups. I still seem to have trouble with people picking up or getting there completed peices and I just don’t have room to store them anymore. It holds up progress for those waiting as I refuse to put mounts in the floor, as I worked hard on them. If that’s you do better please or make arrangements with me. I’m fairly easy to get along with if you will just communicate with me. Remember I don’t mount until a 50% deposit has been made. So if I get to your number and I haven’t got a 50% deposit I skip over it until it’s made. If that’s something you’ve forgot about please get in contact with me.
