Clarximus Custom Works We specialize in economical long range hunting rifles using your factory barreled action. This can usually be done for half the cost of a custom gun.

Long range hunting rifles come with a custom label and a custom price. They usually start at around $4,500.00 for just the rifle. Then additional costs are added depending on the optics chosen and the ammunition purchased. Though these custom rifles are beautiful works of precision they are cost prohibitive to the average rifleman. We maintain that factory rifles have great potential to become acc

urate long range hunting rifles with a few modifications at reasonable prices. Long range rifle accuracy begins with stability, trigger control, adequate optics, quality ammunition, and recoil management. Stability is achieved through a rigid synthetic stock that doesn't warp or flex like factory wood or injection molded stocks. Then glass bedding the barreled action to the stock to create a perfect cradle between the two elements. This eliminates any movement from side to side, or front to back. Most factory rifles come with a heavy trigger pull of between 4 and 6 lbs. It's very difficult to achieve any degree of accuracy with a heavy trigger pull. Long range accuracy is better achieved with a factory trigger, or after market trigger set at between 2.5 lbs and 3 lbs.

Valerie’s cousin and friends invited us for a side by side adventure this past weekend to ride the Hole in the Rock trail by Lake Powell. It was great fun and the company was even better. The trail is pretty rough in places and we had to learn a bit about rock crawling. I have stock 30” tires on my machine, I would recommend taller tires 33” - 35” for those planning to ride this trail in the future. Even though we skidded on the bottom and bumped it quite a few times we never broke anything. All in all it was one of the better adventure we’ve been on.
