Did you know that I love to sew? I don’t just design balloons! 🥸 I usually get the itch to sew in spurts during the year, but September through December seems to bring out the crafty side of me the most. I’m not alone right?

I’m sewing pillow covers right now…specifically Christmas and these more masculine Christmas pillows are up in my shop now! My husband commented on how much he liked the stripes and that these fabrics aren’t so girly. He “got” exactly what I was trying to accomplish! This fabric is perfect for adding a touch of holiday flare without going over the top. They will look great in a bachelor apartment, man cave, boys bedroom, or a missionary care package!

I’ve been working on some sticker designs for a while now! This is one I am doing for my Activity Day girls and I’m thinking I may throw it in my shop next week! I’m also going to send a stack with my daughter when she leaves for her mission in a couple months because I think these would be a great little way to let others know they are seen and cared for. We can all use a little every now and then! Who would you give this sticker to?

This was my harvest today while my sweetheart and our soon-to-be missionary were mowing the lawn! I wanted to learn how to grow plants from seeds so I did my entire gardens this year from seed! While some things didn’t work out so well, my tomatoes and bell peppers have been AMAZING! I love learning how to do new things!

I am taking a break from the designs I’ve been working on to make some fresh salsa.

I’ll never forget watching the events unfold live, before work that day. Was it really a small plane? By the time I picked up my brother-in-law to carpool down to BYU it was clear this was NOT a small plane, as the other plane struck right after I walked in to get him. Our drive to Provo was somber.

I was the Assistant to the Director of International Admissions at BYU and to say this was a hard day to keep going is an understatement, but we kept going. A few hours after getting to work, I received a phone call from a parent of an applicant who simply called to tell me how sorry they were and they were praying for our country. After thanking them (the words still feel extremely inadequate for what my heart truly felt for that simple act of kindness) and hanging up, my emotions got the best of me and I finally took my morning break.

I loved watching the Tabernacle Choir’s tribute this morning. It was full of hope, kindness, and love for the those who lost their lives, those who lost loved ones, the heros who ran in to help save those who couldn’t run out, and for the whole human family. It’s well worth the time to watch if you haven’t had a chance.
