SUNDAY DEC 14- Leesburg Luminaria Update

The Luminaria IS STILL happening, and we’re looking forward to a special evening together as a community. The evening events will run from 5:30-7:00pm.

Luminaria Bags & Candles
We encourage everyone in town to please place your luminaria bags with lighted candles outside your homes to help light up Leesburg. And to turn on your Christmas lights and decorations on your home.

Open Houses
• Southern Hills Community Bank
• Batter Up Bakery
• Leesburg Dairy Barn
• Saucy Sister's Pizzeria
Will all be hosting their open house as planned.

Leesburg Firehouse Activities
Many of the other planned activities have been moved to the Leesburg Firehouse, making it the gathering spot to kick off the evening before heading out to see the lights and the open houses downtown.

• 5:30 PM – Crowning of the Luminaria Royalty & reading the winning essays
• Enjoy beef & noodles, soup, supper, visits with Santa and the Grinch, roast marshmallows to make S'mores and other activities for all kids!

Thank you for helping make this a meaningful night for our town in spite of the snow and cold. We can’t wait to see Leesburg glowing!

The Grinch will be making an appearance at the Leesburg Firehouse during Luminaria! Along with Jovie the Elf to spread Christmas cheer!

*UPDATE* Leesburg Luminaria IS still happening Sunday, Dec 14th 5:30-7:00pm. We know it will be quite cold so, sadly, there will not be wagon rides around town. But the candles will be lit, most of the indoor business open houses, the crowning of Luminaria Royalty, the Soup Supper, Santa, and other activities indoors will be happening. 🤗

Activities:
-Lighted bags around town - take a drive to see the lights.
-Leesburg Firehouse- Crowning if King & Queen, Reading winning essays, Soup & Beef n Noodles Supper, Santa, The Grinch, Jovie the Elf, S'mores, and kids activity.
-Batter Up Bakery- grab a free cookie and cocoa from Mrs. Claus's kitchen.
-Saucy Sisters' & Dirty Daughter Soda - pizza party to celebrate their 13th anniversary & drink specials
-Leesburg Dairy Barn- kids activities

Congratulations to the 2025 Luminaria Royalty on their winning essays!

Come see them get crowned at 5:30 at the Leesburg Library and listen to them read their essays aloud at 7:30 at the Leesburg Friends Church after enjoying the evening festivities around town!

The 36th Annual Luminaria Sunday is December 14th. This year's essay winners are: Prince Will, Princess Nora, King Warren, and Queen Amelia. Congratulations!

Please join the Leesburg Festival committee in giving a huge thank you to B. Williams Farms, LLC for their donation of beef to our Soup Supper! Thanks to their generosity, new this year, beef and noodles will also be served!

#2 Stop by the Leesburg Firehouse to grab a bowl of soup for a freewill donation, roast marshmallows for s'mores, visit with Santa, and grab a picture on Granny the firetruck! Then hop on a wagon ride and view the lights around town!

The Leesburg Lions Club is in full preparation mode for Leesburg Luminaria! The local 6th graders have been working hard writing their essays for the king and queen contest. The village and businesses are busy making the town look festive, the Leesburg Festival committee is prepping for the annual soup supper and more!
