And today’s main character is very clearly the EXTRA GOOEY CINNAMON ROLL. 🤤
Soft, swirly, absolutely slathered in icing… as it should be.

Since Mother Nature decided the market wasn’t happening, we’ve got a VERY well-stocked Georgie Porgie cart today. 😅

Alright, Midwest… we need your help. 😂

We’ve been diving headfirst into Amish cookbooks, church cookbooks, Home Ec binders, and old 4-H recipe books looking for the forgotten gems.

You know… the recipes where:
🥗 “Salad” somehow contains Cool Whip.
🧀 Every casserole starts with a can of cream of something.
🥧 Grandma’s recipe card says, “Bake until done.”
📖 The cookbook has at least three pages stuck together.

Starting this weekend, we’re kicking off a new tradition at Georgie Porgie. Each weekend we’ll feature one nostalgic recipe inspired by the Midwest kitchens we all grew up with—the ones that deserve a comeback.

Shoutout to My Dad's Sweet Corn for another batch of their famous and delicious Indiana sweet corn!

We were able to shuck and put up dozens of pounds today in our freezer for the winter months ahead…definitely recommend giving them a try next time at your local farmers market this summer 🌽
