The Jam and Jelly Lady

The Jam and Jelly Lady Since 1995, a boutique cannery located in the heart of Ohio farmland. Small-batch and farm-to-jar!

We can (yes, still by hand!) gourmet preserves, using locally grown produce as much as possible. Our goal is a delicious jam made WITHOUT corn syrup, WITHOUT artificial preservervatives -- the way they used to be. We also teach canning courses (both beginner and masters classes) in our Dept. of Agriculture-approved facility, using only USDA-approved techniques.

Who wants to WIN an ArtScape class to make a cute door mat for your home? I bought a class to raffle off and support ArtScape's new studios in downtown Lebanon! Class is Thursday, 9/3, 6:30pm. "Participants will create a personalized door mat using stencils and outdoor paint. You'll learn how to prepare the mat, position and secure stencils, apply paint with the proper techniques, and add decorative details for a clean, professional-looking finish. A variety of stencil designs, colors, and seasonal themes will be available so everyone can customize a door mat that reflects their personal style."

Well I feel like an idiot! I knew ArtScape was moving, and I drive by this property MANY times a day, and didn't realize that THESE are new ArtScape Lebanon studios! Knowing the talented people dedicated to arts in Lebanon, I shouldn't be surprised at the renovation of one of the roughest properties in town.

Hey - let's all be first in line to register for classes in the new building -- I'm really interested in designing my own doormat! I'm sure there are bills to pay, and taking a class or becoming a donor is a great way to help out!

I humbly thank all who volunteered to transform this ugly duckling. I saw all of you on ladders adding brick, trimming windows... I'm just in shock at the beauty of this building!

Don't wait because your garden won't! Sign up today for our award-winning Canning Boot Camp on Sat., Sept. 5. Spaces are limited in our hands-on class, where you'll learn both water bath and pressure canning in a commercial cannery approved by the ODA. A buffet lunch, beverages, class materials are all provided. LAST Canning Boot Camp until 2027 because we're in the middle of harvest season and starting Christmas orders.

I woke up Saturday and my first thought was, who am I working with today?!? For years, two gals worked in two shops, and when biz was slow, we had a wonderful time chatting, visiting our neighbors, laughing with customers...

Saturday was the first day that only ONE lady would work at the ONE shop left. It's a paradigm shift, for sure. But the fun we've had... A few of my fondest memories are posted here. Goodbye jam shop. Our new chapter will be even brighter!
