An Important Announcement from Boba Bar & Co.
With heavy hearts, we want to share that we have made the incredibly difficult decision to officially close the doors of Boba Bar & Co.
This is not forever — but it is for now... 💔
This past year has been the hardest season our family has ever faced. It began with our daughter being hospitalized (thankfully, she is doing so much better now), followed by my mother’s diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer. Her first round of treatments was long, exhausting, and unforgiving. We truly hoped that chapter had closed, but life had other plans. In November, we were unexpectedly thrust into another intense treatment journey that began with major surgery just one week after receiving the news.
Balancing motherhood to four amazing kids, being a wife, operating two small businesses, and simply being human eventually caught up to me. After the Christmas parade, my body forced me to slow down in a very real way — resulting in a hospital visit due to severe stress-related complications. I now have upcoming testing for a possible autoimmune disorder and was strongly advised to step away from stress. It was scary… and eye-opening.
We have explored every option — relocating, changing business plans, transitioning to a food truck, pushing forward — all of it. The decision weighed heavily on my heart, filled with sadness, uncertainty, and the fear of letting people down or losing the friendships we’ve built along the way. The truth is, I love this community deeply, and I never wanted this chapter to end this way.
Ultimately, the decision was made for us by the building owners — and while bittersweet, it brought clarity in a moment when we desperately needed it.
I am only one person trying to carry the workload of many, and while my heart has always been fully invested, I’ve learned that strength also means knowing when to pause, heal, and reset.
Please know this: we will be back.
