Quilts of Valor Exhibit: Closes Sunday, August 16

Just a reminder that the Quilts of Valor Exhibit closes this Sunday, August 16 at 5pm. Special thanks to all who allowed us to feature their beautiful quilts and artifacts throughout the summer of America 250.

Our team will reach out directly to each contributor over the next few weeks. We will let you know when your quilt and/or other artifacts are prepared and ready for pickup.

Again, thank you for contributing to a meaningful exhibit at the Plymouth County Historical Museum.

The Weber Windmill: A bit of history.

The wooden base of the windmill that previously graced the Norman Weber farm east of Seney was installed in the fall of 1992. In Spring 1993, several volunteers led by board member Ronald Burkhard added the top of the windmill. The Weber Windmill stands next to the Weber Cabin (on the Museum's campus), which was donated by a different Weber family and moved several years ago from its location south of Westfield.

The goal is to have the restoration done this month. Stay tuned!

Restoration continues on the Old Wind Mill. Eddie started staining the top cap on Sunday, while Jim (W) was performing in the LeMars Community Theatre production of MY FAIR LADY. Our volunteers are amazing community supporters.
Stay tuned for more progress!
