Scanned, modeled and printed some new ABS Faux backup light housings for ‘55 Plymouth taillights. Now to check and make sure everything works and then get them chromed.

I was going to throw a universal heater in but decided to rebuild the original one. Retrofitted a new back with a 90s truck heater core and a high volume squirrel cage motor into it so hopefully keep things warm. I may have cheated and scanned the firewall to make sure everything clears and the motor sits just below the pulleys for the windshield wipers.

Scanned and modeled up some custom headers for the Jeepster. I was first trying to make them based off 3D printed blocks and then remembered I can do it in CAD quicker and cheaper. Next to make them in real life…

Flex check on the front driveshaft. I have a couple more things to tie together but was able to flex the suspension without twisting the frame. Finally able to get one tire 32” off the ground keeping the rest on the ground.

Came up with a folding back seat for the Jeepster that will let at least elves ride in the back but be folded up for more storage. Not a ton of fab work left… modified

Tied my cage into the coil over hoops to stiffen the front end of the frame up. I used bolted flanges to allow for disassembly.

6’7 problems when owning a Willy’s… Placed the shifter to clear the transmission but the k**b was right where my knee needed to be. Annealed the shifter to move it out of the way.

Drew up a pretty simple license plate bracket that allows me to use a Kenimoto RZR tail light for a third brake light. It’s setup to mount a backup camera on it as well.

Got the front seats mounted in the cage. Had to cut out the door diagonals to gain about 1.75” of width for the seats. I recovered seats out of a ‘64 Chevelle. Have a few things to finish up and then come up with a folding rear seat.
